There are also various birds, other lemur species, and reptiles. The journey concludes with the stunning island of Sainte Marie, a small island 60 km long and 5 km wide, perfect for exploring, especially by bicycle. Visitors can alternate between days of sun and sea and a visit to the island’s capital, with its colonial-style houses, the pirate cemetery, and the humpback whale watching spots. From Sainte Marie, you can also visit the nearby islet of Île aux Nattes, renowned for its fine sandy beaches.
